A VR game which I think is exclusively released in Germany and Italy.
I'd like to thank fellow member chronossphere for helping me grab this copy.

Oh dang. I'll try to reach out to the developers to see if this is getting a physical release elsewhere, but nice catch on this one. Didn't know about this until now.

Yes please let me know if you get a bite from the devs. I thought perp would have picked this up for at least a full European release.

I got another NES homebrew from Mega Cat Studios: City Trouble

Image

I'm too lazy right now to take and post my own picture, so I just posted a stock photo. The game and contents look the same anyway. This one plays kind of like Kung Fu apparently. It's an action arcadey game where you run on the rooftops avoiding gang members and zapping them with a tazer! I haven't played it yet but it looks fun. I love it when people create "new" games for old systems. I'm hoping LRG puts out more homebrews after Galf.

It's a painting from a guy here in Sweden. He does a lot of pixel art from games.

I didnt know there was a GBA version of Mr. Nutz. I have the SNES and GBC versions and I think maybe Europe had gotten a release for the original GB.

So, we see plenty of games based off of things like movies, comic books, or even toys. How about a game based off of stickers?

Image

*Note: not my picture. I was too lazy to take my own so I reused the eBay seller's pic.

Bikkuriman World is a game based off the popular sticker franchise in Japan called Bikkuriman. I plan to post a topic about the stickers sometime in the near future, but for now, the game: Can you believe it is actually a reskin of Wonder Boy in Monster Land? Yep, they just replaced the characters in that game with Bikkuriman characters!

There is actually a whole franchise of games based off of these. I have an RPG for the Famicom based off them as well as some PC game from Korea and I know I have seen others.

Yeah, it's a popular enough series to have multiple games over the years. I saw a really cool looking one for 3DS that has Disgaea characters and requires you to draw Kanji to battle with, or something to that effect. I want to get it but I figure playing it will be very difficult.

I got another Japanese exclusive 3DS game in: Beast Saga!

Image

This game is based of the toys/manga/anime I posted about earlier, that is the spiritual successor to Battle Beasts. Good stuff! The game is an arena battle game with a story.

Oh, right. Everspace and Bastion. I guess I'll not receive that one in a long time.

I finally got around to picking up a system I have long wanted, but was very weary of getting second hand, the Atari 5200.

I was at Retrocon in PA this past weekend and found a couple that repair and sell pretty much strictly 5200 stuff, talk about niche! They repair the controllers with all new parts, both standard as well as a "life-time" gold contact parts. For $50 I got a system with no box, but was tested and playable right there before purchase, they gave me one of the gold-part controllers, even threw in a free boxed standard-repaired 2nd controller, all the hook-ups, including the bizzaro-verse switch box (in box) and even let me have a sealed copy of Kangaroo and let me grab another loose cart (picked Qix which I stupidly already had). Considering the only other person selling a "complete" 5200 at the expo wanted $250 for it with no games and non-repaired controllers, I was more then willing to fork over my money to these people. Apparently the guy was a gamer who married into his wife's father's hobby of repairing 5200s (or may have been Atari stuff in general). They were super friendly and knew what they were doing and I really hope I see them around future conventions in my neck of the woods.

I was a little worried something was a-miss when I got home and it wouldn't power on, but then I figured out you need to dick around with how tight the cables are plugged into the eldritch-switch box thingy to get it to power on and I eventually got it up and running smooth. I already had like 25 or so games for it, so I figure I will go for the complete set of around 60-something. Shouldn't be too hard to complete....well except for Bounty Bob...
