Figured I'd post this question to everyone who is still adding to their collection. What are your latest finds/pick-ups you've added to your collection?

So far, I have only just added Shovel Knight (PS4), Minecraft Story Mode (PS4), Retro City Rampage 486 (MS-DOS) and Rayman Legends/Origins (PSVita). The latter is the UK PAL release which I found very difficult to come by for some reason.

Wasteland 2 (PS4), Looney Tunes Galactic Sports (Vita), Conception II (Vita) and Alpha Protocol (PS3) are my latest purchases. I had actually bought Tales of Zestiria after enjoying Xillia a lot too, but it happened to rub me the wrong way, so it is the first game in many years I sold again.

The Rayman Doublepack you mention is widely available in Germany... but not really attractive to import with our giant USK rating logos on front. They increased the size after a teenager went crazy and shot people in school. Like that would help.

Wow.... No wonder it looks like an eyesore... I've seen very few of the UK PAL copies of the double pack, but I know the German one is plentiful, so if I couldn't find the UK copy, I would have been just as happy with the German release. How is Looney Tunes Galactic Sports? As for Conception II, I have the US first print and boy it was worth it, even though the Postal service fucked up the delivery and caused crushing to the box...

I noticed that when I was in Oranienburg and came across a video game store selling a plethora of decent games. They have German copies of games you'd never find in the UK, but alas, they were in German, so I honestly couldn't understand what was going on unfortunately. Thankfully there are some games where you can still get English text/voice despite the varying regions.

Phew, last month my gaming library has seen quite a few additions due to a lot of nice sales.
The most important (for me) are the following, sorted by platform:

PS Vita
    Breach & Clear (obviously, isn't it? ;))
    Steins;Gate (UK)
Corpse Party: Blood Drive (Everafter Edition) (US)
    Virtue's Last Reward (UK)

PS 4
Brothers - A tale of two sons (GER)

3 DS
Legend of Zelda - A Link Between Worlds (GER)

PS 3
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMix HD Collection (UK)
Assassin's Creed - Birth of a new World (GER; just wanted to have Liberation HD as physical copy)
    Hitman Absolution (GER)
Disgaea D2 (US; just ordered yesterday)

But the most proud I am about the beast of a game which arrived yesterday. I present to you the mighty

"Pier Solar" for SEGA Dreamcast:

Just played half an hour so far, it seems very simplistic. Really made for kids. But I will have to play more to say if the first impression is true...
Conception II I only bought the normal copy (completely missing that cgp had the first print box for only 5$ more), looking forward to it.

Some of this is quite exaggerated, especially nowadays. The censorship, if it happens, is always self-censorship by the publisher to get a good age rating. Germany does not accept the PEGI ratings, because those are just recommendations. Our ratings are binding, meaning shops can get into a lot of trouble if they sell adult games to minors.

Also the standards are very different. And no, it is not neccessarily that the USK ratings are stricter... actually a lot of games are rated for younger audiences by USK than by PEGI or ESRB.

Also, it is only very few games nowadays that are cut in anyway. If there are cuts, it is mostly for all of Europe. The days of frequent cuts like green blood etc in German games are over since the PS2 days.

sure and thats why world war 2 games are cut till the extremes or banned altogehter.

also I heard from multiple people thatthe censorship is still in a lot of games

but since I colect retro games as well its something I have to keep in mind.

and the language problem is realy there I would not play the best game in the world with audio if it was spoken german not even with subtitles.

I hate the way german sounds it sounds so (by lack of a better word) agressive.

@wowgek7
I think you should not just repeat hearsay.
There are things that are censored; like swastikas, which appear in very few games anyway. They are unconstitutional.
But the whole violence thing is really a thing of the past.

And actually, when it comes to console games, especially older ones actually very few are dubbed in German. Shooters and sports games often were, but the majority of games with more than a few lines of text remained in English.

How is Orgarhythm? I have been meaning to buy it on many occasions, but opted against.

MY latest pickups consist of:

Breach & Clear (Vita),
Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden (3DS),

and then a trade happened with my friend from New York and what I got was:

Corpse Party Blood Drive: Ever After Edition USA release (Vita) and is now my second copy because of an Amazon cock up that worked in my favour,
Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus: Let's Get Physical Edition USA release (Vita),
EX Troopers Japanese release (PS3),
Theathryhm Dragon Quest Japanese release (3DS),
Sayonara UmiharaKawase Japanese release (Vita),
Sword Art Online: Lost Song Asian English release (Vita),
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment Asian English release (Vita),
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls limited edition USA release (Vita).

I just received the "senran kagura shinovi versus nyuu nyuu dx pack" and the figures were defective. One had a leg backwards, and another was missing an arm. The figures were the only reason I bought it since I own the NA version already.

Ouch, it hurts to read that. Is there any way you can return them for good ones?

Who was the manufacturer of the figures?
I backed the Muv-Luv Kickstarter at Collector's Edition level and the figure was one of the main reasons to back at that high level.
Hope they are not from the same manufacturer.

From a collector's standpoint, I'd actually keep that set because I've noticed that defective and misprinted items usually are harder to come by than the normal releases. An example of this is Resident Evil Revelations for the 3DS, which has a misprinted cover art showing revelations as revelaitons. I could be wrong, but I'd keep it if I were you.

I still need to get Resident Evil Revelations 2 for the Vita. It is definitely on the list over the PS4 version, although the Mrs has the PS4 release anyway.

I, too, am on the edge of buying Resident Evil Revelations 2 for the Vita.
First and foremeost it has the advantage of being portable.
On the other hand, I usually like to get the most technologically advanced version of a game to get the best experience with regard to frames per second, tearing and so on. That'd be PS4 then, but I currently do not yet own that beast other than PS3 or Vita.
Ddecisions, decisions...

To topic:
  • Okami HD (JP, ordered today)
  • Tales of Xilia 2 - Day One Edition (GER)
